Hi, I'm Ali Phillips, an adventure-loving photographer from Maui, Hawaii. I've had an obsession with taking photos for as long as I can remember.
I began my career skipping school to run in the fields of North Dakota with my camera & I studied photography right out of high school. After a couple of engagement sessions and a wedding, I became hooked. Human connection is such a beautiful thing and it's what truly drew me into pursuing wedding photography. After 10 years of photographing weddings, I had my own elopement in the mountains of Maui and having experienced the genuine, subtle moments that pass by during your wedding day - the glance, the hand squeeze, the smile - those are the ones that I want to capture.
Beyond photography, I love to be in the mountains and out on the water surfing. The quiet moments in nature is so soothing and inspiring. It's where I feel most at home. It's also why I aim to combine the great outdoors in so much of my photography and why I truly believe that no adventure is too far and no idea is too big. I'm up for it all. FAQ
Can we post our photos online?
Ofcourse! You're welcome to post your photos wherever you would like. I do as that wen posting you either tag or credit me in the caption. My instagram handle is @saltymauiphoto
How do we receive our images?
A link to your preview will be available within' 10 days after your wedding, a full online gallery will be sent to you within' 8 weeks if your wedding falls in a summer month and 3-5 weeks any other time of the year.
How many pictures will I receive?
Most weddings fall into the 800-1500 range but it depends on the length of the day. Every images you receive will be edited with my style and in full res.
Are you available outside of Maui?
YES! I've been fortunate enough to live on Big Island, Kauai, Oahu alongside Maui. Which has allowed me to have some of the most remote areas in mind for your special day.
Do we have printing rights to the photos?
Totally! These are your photos, you can use the print shop via the online gallery or you can print them on your own. Your photos in a physical manner is the best way to view them.
Do you backup your images?
Yes! I have a pretty thorough backup procedure that ensures all of your images will be safe with that said you should still backup your files from the USB or gallery one you receive them.
Do you have insurance?
Yep! If your venue requires vendors to have it please let me know and I would be happy to provide you with the necessary info.
How do we book?
I require a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer fee to reserve your date, equal to 30% (if your wedding is the next calendar year) or 40% (if your wedding is in this same calendar year.) Dates can not be reserved until both of these items are received. I book on a first come, first serve basis. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding day.
